We have wrapped up our first 2 weeks of camp this summer! The Lord has been so good to us during this time. We have had a blast. Our campers have endured the heat but they made the most out of it. Not only have we had a ton of fun but the gospel has been shared every single day. Our hope and prayer is that campers receive the gospel and come to know Christ as Lord and Savior.
We also want to say a big thank you to all of you who have contributed camper sponsorships, food/goods donations, volunteer hours, and so much more. Camp 1:27 is most successful when the community rallies together. To all of our special guests, too, we are grateful. From chapel speakers & worship leaders to the Sheriff’s department & local karate club, we appreciate your support and loving on our campers.
Next up for us is 3 weeks of elementary aged campers. Continue praying for our staff as they love and serve our campers. See below for others ways to partner with us this summer.
There are a couple of ways you can partner with us this summer as we serve our campers:
1. Pray. Pray. Pray. Pray for our campers. Pray for our staff. Pray for our chapel speakers and special guests. Pray that the gospel will be proclaimed. Pray for transformation for all who attend Camp 1:27 this summer.
2. Sponsor a camper. There is still time to sponsor a camper for $100. We request sponsorships to help us offset costs for food, utilities, insurance, and new equipment.
3. Donate Walmart gift cards. From time to time during camp, we have to make Walmart runs for things like toilet paper, garbage bags, or similar items. Please consider sending us gift cards to help with these purchases.
